Role summary
This role is for a passionate mental health nurse to join the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHT) in Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care to adults experiencing mental health difficulties, offering rapid assessment and short-term intensive treatment to support individuals during a mental health crisis. The aim is to prevent hospital admission or facilitate discharge, working within a multidisciplinary team. The primary base is Sandwell, but work in other Black Country localities may be required.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of multi-disciplinary recovery focused care.
- Assess mental health needs and risks for individuals in distress.
- Formulate care plans for individuals with various needs.
- Hold a valid driver's licence and have a vehicle for work.
Essential criteria
- First Level Nursing Qualification RMN
- Evidence of Further Education and Development
- Proven Post Registration Experience
- Experience of working with other people who have deliberately self-harmed
- Experience of teaching and assessing in clinical practice (mentoring)
- Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
- Effective Team Working skills.
- Excellent Customer Care skills
- Good Leadership Skills
- Ability to carry out autonomous Mental Health Assessments
- Good time management skills
- Ability to manage own time and work under pressure.
- Ability to embrace continual changes in organisational working and culture, awareness of change.
- Self-motivated and an interest in chosen field.
- Evidence of commitment to promoting service user and carer values.
