Role summary
This role is for a Staff Nurse in a busy Accident and Emergency department. You will be actively involved in implementing Trust policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care. The position requires you to develop personal and professional knowledge, supporting the ward manager and sister/charge nurse in day-to-day management and service development. Qualified nurses with 6 months experience or student nurses with A&E placement experience are encouraged to apply.
Essential criteria
- Experience in an acute clinical environment as trained or student nurse.
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS experience of working in an acute care environment and performing competencies at an advanced level.
- NMC qualified nurse or Student nurse within 6 months of qualifying
- Previous NHS experience of working in an acute care environment and performing competencies at an advanced level.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
- Evidence of specialist extended skills such as BIPAP CPAP, VAC Therapy. Traction care etc.

Main duties of the job
