Role summary
This role is for a compassionate and communicative Theatres Nurse (SCRUB) to join the NHS Professionals bank at Southampton General Hospital. Key responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of nursing care and ensure nursing objectives are achieved.
- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate individualized patient & family-centred care.
- Participate in the checking and administration of prescribed drugs in accordance with Trust policy.
- Act as an effective role model by adhering to professional standards and conduct.
- Co-ordinate and take part in the transfer of patients to other departments within the Trust.
- Be involved in teaching, orientation, and mentorship of junior staff as appropriate.
Essential criteria
- Experience within vascular scrub
- Experience with gynae / breast / obstetrics / laproscopic
- Nursing / ODP Degree
- NMC / HCPC Registration
- Minimum of 6-months experience working as a SCRUB nurse in a NHS or private (UK) hospital in the past 2-years
Desirable criteria
- We are also looking for scrub nurses who can commit to a minimum of 2 days a week we have no demand for scrub nurses to work adhoc at present
