Role summary
This role is for a Registered Nurse in Whitby, providing holistic, patient-centred care in patients' homes. You will assess and care for patients, manage caseloads, and provide palliative and end-of-life care. The Trust offers a planned induction, preceptorship for newly qualified staff, and support for further qualifications. You will work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to continuous learning and professional development.
Essential criteria
- Degree/diploma in adult nursing Willingness to undertake mentorship training and responsibilities
- Part III or 13 of NMC live register
- An understanding of relevant clinical practice/standards within identified clinical area
Desirable criteria
- Be on the live register for mentors
- Evidence of current CPD/formal qualifications at an advanced level e.g. degree or post graduate level or equivalent knowledge/experiential learning
- Full understanding of relevant policy, drivers and application to clinical practice
- Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in Community Nursing
- Understanding of caseload management responsibilities
- Successful completion of preceptorship Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at specialist level of care
- Evidence of specialist practice skills and impact of this on practice change/development
- Skills and Competencies
- Ability to commute between the various sites
- Able to demonstrate effective interpersonal/communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate ethical values and attitudes within a culture of equality and diversity
- Working knowledge of Trust policies and Procedures
- Ability to manage daily operations and maintain a safe working environment
