NHS Professionals are currently recruiting for an Anatomic Pathology
Technician to join the Pathology Department at University Hospital Southampton
NHS Trust FT. The role requires the successful candidate to assist in the
provision of a comprehensive Mortuary service to the Trust and Southampton City
Coroner, carrying out both routine and specialised autopsy services.
Main duties of the job
As a Mortuary Technician, you will be expected to have sufficient
previous experience of working within an NHS mortuary setting, particularly
experienced in doing body checks and liaising with funeral directors.
On a day-to-day basis you will be supporting the senior mortuary staff in
the delivery of the service.
The service operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 16:30 and the ideal
candidate will be able to work full-time.
