Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated and experienced Duty Worker to join an integrated health and social care Community Mental Health Team. The successful candidate will screen and triage referrals, conduct holistic Bio Psycho social assessments, and contribute to MDT discussions and care planning for vulnerable adults aged 16-70 with mental health needs. The position requires robust risk assessment and management skills, and proactive engagement with multi-agencies.
Essential criteria
- Registered Mental health nurse or registered social worker or occupational therapist
Desirable criteria
- Post registration qualification in a clinically orientated area
- Post registration qualification in a clinically orientated area
- Post registration experience. Recent experience working in either adult mental health or CAMHS.
- experience of Mental health issues or a caring role of someone with mental health issues
- Knowledge & Skills
- Experience of completing Bio-Psychosocial assessments of vulnerable adults with complex care needs in the community
- Knowledge of both evidence and value based interventions for people with severe and enduring mental diagnosis

Job summary
Open to mental health staff holding a professional registration - MH Social Worker; RMN; MH OT.
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Duty Worker to join a vibrant integrated health and social care Community Mental Health Team.
In North Trafford CMHT the duty desk is permanently managed by two duty practitioners, this creates a streamlined and effective way of working. Referrals are dealt with safely and assessments are completed in a timely manner.
This post would provide the suitable candidate the opportunity to work within a highly skilled clinical team in the community, applying clinical assessment skills to support the care and treatment needs of vulnerable adults with mental health needs.
The age range of service users is from 16-70 yrs across the whole of the Trafford borough for those experiencing mental health difficulties.
