Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or graduating Cardiac Physiologist to join the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The role focuses on fast-track cath lab procedures and cardiac rhythm management (CRM), with initial training leading to independence in basic procedures and CRM device follow-up. The successful candidate will progress to more advanced CRM and cath lab procedures, with a view to joining the on-call service within the first year. The department actively supports professional development, including BHRS and IBHRE exams, and is involved in device trials and research.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a fast-track cath lab and cardiac rhythm management (CRM) physiologist at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). The successful applicant will be a newly qualified cardiac physiologist or be due to graduate from the practitioner training program later this year.
Technical Cardiology is a department of 80 physiologists, administrators, students, and support colleagues, and you will be joining a team of 19 physiologists specialising in cath lab and CRM. Most full time cardiac physiologists at UHS work four days of 8am-6pm.
