Role summary
This role is for a passionate HCPC Registered Dietitian to join the Community Paediatric Dietetic Team in Luton and South Bedfordshire. You will deliver specialist nutritional care through virtual and face-to-face clinics, manage a varied caseload, and conduct group sessions for families. The position also involves training other healthcare professionals and supporting the Food First team with paediatric nutritional product prescribing. Regular clinical supervision and opportunities for service development are provided.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver weekly virtual and face to face community clinics covering a range of clinical conditions.
- Support the development and delivery of group sessions for children and their families with specific nutritional needs.
- Prioritise and plan your own workload, effectively meeting the aims and objectives of both the clinical and prescribing support elements of the role.
- Undertake duties to support appropriate paediatric product prescribing as identified by the Food First Team Lead.
- Provide support, guidance and training to dietitians and dietetic assistants, linking with senior colleagues to evaluate competencies.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records in accordance with organisational and professional standards.
Essential criteria
- Degree qualification in dietetics
- Registered Dietitian with HCPC
- Sound clinical knowledge of dietetic treatment of adult and/or paediatric patients
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients in one-to-one situations
- Good interpersonal, counselling and motivational skills
- Ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of on-going professional development relating to their training and qualification as a Dietitian
- Basic understanding of the role of the prescribing support dietitian

Are you a passionate Dietitian looking to make a real difference to the lives of children and families? We are seeking an enthusiastic HCPC Registered Dietitian to join our friendly Community Paediatric Dietetic Team, delivering specialist nutritional care across Luton and South Bedfordshire.
