Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational leadership for a Community Nursing Team, ensuring high standards of safe, person-centred care.
- Manage day-to-day service delivery, including capacity planning, prioritisation of visits, and seven-day service cover.
- Lead, supervise and develop staff through appraisal, performance management, clinical supervision, education and training.
- Ensure compliance with CQC, organisational policies, clinical governance, safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management requirements.
- Manage delegated budgets, resources and staffing efficiently, and contribute to service improvement and strategic development.
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
- District Nursing Specialist Practice Qualification. (DNSPQ).
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Willingness to undertake further qualifications and develop expertise in identified areas
- Extensive Community Nursing experience.
- Evidence of leadership and management of a nursing team
- Experience of coaching.
- Demonstrates wider and current competencies in clinical skills transferable to community setting.
- Creative and innovative approach to service development
- Demonstrates flexibility to deal with the needs of unscheduled services and able to prioritise workloads and work under pressure
- Able to motivate self and teams to manage change
- Ability to support staff to undertake operational and clinical and duties implementing evidence based practice
- Ability to influence and problem solve
- Works collaboratively with their counterparts from teams in other provider organisations to develop a seamless service

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Community Nursing Team Lead to play a key role in the success of our Community Nursing Teams. This leadership post is for an NMC-registered nurse with a Specialist Practitioner Qualification (SPQ) who demonstrates the Trust's values and behaviours.
