Role summary
This role supports the fundraising and events team for the Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, which enhances patient care at East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The post-holder will provide administrative support, supporter stewardship, and assist with relationship fundraising, events, and corporate engagement. They will act as a key link between the charity and the local community, volunteers, supporters, fundraisers, and hospital staff. The role requires a passionate, flexible, creative, and highly organised individual with good knowledge of fundraising.
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with data entry, accurate record keeping, and running database reports.
- Demonstrable strong interpersonal, account management and stewardship skills and experience in a customer care setting
- Demonstrable experience of being involved with charity work e.g. fundraising and/or volunteering
Desirable criteria
- oProven track record of administration within fundraising setting.
- oExperience of using a fundraising database for data entry, data manipulation and reporting
- Educated to A Level or equivalent experience
- Further relevant training or work experience
- Clean UK Driving Licence
- Educated to degree level
- oExcellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
- oMethodical worker with excellent organisational skills and keen eye for detail
- oExcellent project management skills, with the ability to manage many different events simultaneously and manage priorities accordingly.
- oAwareness of best fundraising practice in relation to event fundraising.
- oSocial media and e-communications capability
