Role summary

This role is for an experienced and highly organised Office Administrator to provide operational, administrative, workforce, and governance support across the East & Central Brighton Primary Care Network. The post holder will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the PCN office, coordinating systems, recruitment, and compliance. Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of PCN office facilities.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies and arranging interviews.
  • Support compliance with CQC standards and PCN governance requirements.
  • Organise and minute Board meetings, leadership meetings and other PCN forums.
  • Work with clinical and operational colleagues to support the smooth delivery of PCN clinics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative systems, processes and staff experience.

Essential criteria

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
  • Significant experience in an administrative, office management or operational support role.
  • Experience of managing competing priorities and coordinating multiple workstreams.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate records and administrative systems.
  • Experience of supporting HR or workforce administration processes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of minute taking and supporting meetings.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, induction and staff training processes.
  • Good understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and information governance principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

  • Experience working within the NHS, Primary Care Network or healthcare environment.
  • Experience using EMIS Web & SystmOne.
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and healthcare governance requirements.
