Role summary
This role involves supporting children and young people with acute and complex mental health difficulties within the Inspire CAMHS Team. You will deliver creative, therapeutic, and occupation-focused interventions, encouraging participation in meaningful activities to build confidence and independence. Essential criteria
- Certificate in Mental Health or relevant academic qualification, such as NVQ III /Care Certificate etc. or equivalent experience of developing, providing structured formal leisure activities for individuals/groups
- Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of engaging people in leisure activities
- Experience of working as part of a multi professional teams
- Skills and Competencies
- Motivated and able to work without direct supervision
- Must be able to work flexibility and work weekends/evening work as required
- Ability to manage conflict and high expressed emotion in a clinical setting
- Qualifications, Education and Training

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Inspire CAMHS Team as an Occupational Therapy Activity Worker, supporting young people experiencing acute and complex mental health difficulties on their journey towards recovery and wellbeing.
As part of a dynamic and dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in helping children and young people engage in meaningful therapeutic activities that build confidence, independence, and resilience. Working within either the Inspire Inpatient Service or the Inspire Family Day Service, you will provide trauma-informed, person-centred support in environments where every day brings opportunities to positively impact a young person's life.
While predominantly based in one service area, you will work flexibly across both settings when required, helping to ensure continuity of care and a seamless experience for young people and their families throughout their treatment journey.
