Role summary
This is a part-time Medical Secretary / Pathway Navigator role within the Neurology Department, also encompassing Neurophysiology Administration. The successful candidate will manage telephone enquiries, communicate sensitive information, and ensure efficient administration of neurology and neurophysiology clinics. This role requires interaction with patients, GPs, consultants, and team members, with comprehensive training and support provided.

Job summary
The Neurology Department has an exciting and varied role for a Part-time vacancy for a Medical Secretary / Pathway Navigator.
This role also encompasses Neurophysiology Administration, dealing with appointments for nerve conduction studies and the distribution of reports and uploading these results on to Cerner.
This vacancy requires interaction with patients, GPs, Consultants, and team members.

Main duties of the job
To deal with telephone enquiries from GPs, patients and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner to ensure that appropriate messages are passed onto the relevant people in a timely fashion. To communicate highly sensitive information to patients / consultants. To ensure and maintain the efficient and effective administration of neurology and neurophysiology clinics, cancelling and amending clinic lists following instruction from the clinicians, Senior Sister and ADM.
Experienced and committed, you will provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative service to the Consultants and multi-disciplinary team.
