Role summary
This is an opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner in Malvern to work with people with a wide range of mental health needs. The role involves representing the service within a GP surgery, acting as an expert contact for GPs, and exercising considerable autonomy. You will manage your own caseload, conduct assessments, and participate in professional meetings. - Knowledge of principles of assessment and formulation for people with mental health problems
- Knowledge of principles of risk assessment and management
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act 2006 and other relevant legislation
- Knowledge of Personalised Care and Support Planning and principles of Personalised Care.

- Experience of working with people in a forensic setting

- Will be required to complete mandatory training.
- Has a commitment to on-going learning, coupled with development of the role to meet patient and service need.
- To participate in regular locality duty system.

- RMN, BSc/DipSW, BSc OT
- Recent evidence of continuing professional development

Job summary
An
opportunity to become a Mental Health Practitioner in Malvern has arisen, which
is a great opportunity to flex and develop your skills in working with people
with a wide range of mental health-related needs in a creative way, supported
by a close-knit, warm and friendly team.
Your role includes
representing our service within a GP surgery, acting as a point of expert
contact for GPs and other professions working within a defined locality. It
also involves the exercise of considerable autonomy, though with support
readily available and is perhaps unique in terms of the range and variety of
people for whom you will be providing care, as well as being a role that
involves learning skills for managing longer-term therapeutic
relationships. Your working day will
involve spending time both at our base with the team, as well as time out at
GPs and in the community. Homeworking, in-keeping with the autonomy inherent to
the role, is also available.
This is a full time role.
Main duties of the job
Travelling to your GP surgery in
the morning to see two new patients for assessment. While there, dropping in on
one of the GPs to talk about one of the assessments and run through another
proposed referral to decide on the best mental health pathway for them.
