Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic nurse to join the Haematology Day Unit at Prince Charles Hospital. The role involves working as a part-time Band 6 Chemotherapy nurse within a small, friendly, and experienced team. The post holder will support the Haematology Day Unit Manager in delivering a safe and efficient service, providing expert advice and education to staff, and ensuring adherence to cancer standards. This is a fixed-term secondment for 11 months to cover maternity leave.
Essential criteria
- Possess specialised clinical knowledge of haematological conditions and specialised training in administration of chemotherapy treatments
Desirable criteria
- Welsh Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 or above
- Broad experience of clinical specialities in primary or secondary care.
- Experience of developing and implementing strategies, policies and protocols.
- Qualifications/Knowledge

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and dynamic nurse to join our team at the Haematology Day Unit at Prince Charles Hospital Hospital.
We are a small, friendly and experienced team, we strive to deliver excellent patient care, working closely with our colleagues in the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients and their families receive care which is tailored to meet their individual needs.
This post is a fixed term/secondment for 11 months until 15 October 2027 to cover maternity leave. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
Main duties of the job
The Pathology Directorate is looking to to offer a 11 month secondment for a part time Band 6 Chemotherapy nurse to the existing service. The post holder will be based at the Prince Charles Hospital and will be part of a nursing team supporting the Haematology Day Unit Manager to deliver a safe and efficient Haematology service within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB), working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
