Role summary
This is a trainee role for a Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner within adult mental health services in North West Sussex. Successful applicants will undertake a year-long graduate or postgraduate certificate training at the University of Sussex while working in the service. The role involves delivering psychologically-informed interventions to people in community and crisis mental health teams. Upon qualification, the trust aims to provide a qualified MHWP post.

Job summary
We are excited to welcome applicants for two Trainee Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner(MHWPs) posts in North West Sussex, at Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust. Please note that for the first year, until qualification, this is a trainee post which will require studying at the University of Sussex for a year at the same time as working in this service
Sussex Partnership is a mental health trust offering care across Sussex to adults, older adults and children with mental health problems.
Those successful in the posts will be trained to offer psychologically-informed interventions to people in our Community and Crisis mental health teams, alongside our multi-disciplinary colleagues. You will be part of our Psychological professionals team, receiving high quality supervision and continued professional development and support. If you are successful in this post you will receive NHS funded training at Sussex University, and a salary with us at Sussex Partnership for the placement element of your training. The years training will then equip you to apply for qualified MHWP posts within our trust and we will endeavour to provide a post in the service after qualification.
