Role summary

Job summary
An exciting Opportunity is awaiting you if you are a highly motivated,
enthusiastic Sister with excellent communication skills. We want you to join
our established team on Rowan Suite, you will have the opportunity to be part
of this service and our innovative ways of working as we grasp this opportunity
to influence, shape and develop the changing face of cancer care and service
provision in our Trust
The 14 chaired day unit cares for patients with a range of cancers who
are receiving chemotherapy. We aim to provide an individualized and supportive
environment for patients in which to deliver this specialized high standard
care.
We are looking for someone who wants to increase their Oncology/Haematology
experience and wants to work within this rewarding environment. Applicants
should BE TRAINED IN SACT AND HOLD UKONS PASSPORT. If you have cannulation, phlebotomy, or central lines
skills it will be an advantage, but if not, then you should have enthusiasm and
dexterity to develop these skills. The ability to communicate effectively with
all members of the multidisciplinary team is essential.
The sister on unit will be leading the team and
ensure the patient flow is maintained throughout. Will have the opportunity to support the
manager, improve services, promote and develop changes, support a small team of
staff including band 5s and hcas with PDRs, development
