Role summary

This role is for an enthusiastic and organised Team Administrator to join the Weymouth and Portland Admin Team at Weymouth Community Hospital. You will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to clinical teams and Operational Heads of Department. The position involves handling confidential information, acting as a point of contact for various stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records. You will also provide cross-cover for other teams like District Nursing and Anticoagulation to ensure service continuity.

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrates experience of word processing and spreadsheets. Good standard keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.

  • Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
  • Well-developed experience in communicating effectively with professionals within and outside of the NHS

  • RSA 2 keyboard skills, audio typing and word processing or equivalent experience

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Team Administrator to join the Weymouth and Portland Admin Team. Working alongside a full-time Team Administrator at Weymouth Community Hospital, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the service by providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the clinical team, as well as the Operational Heads of Department across the locality, as required.

Working as part of a professional and supportive administrative team, the post holder will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of services. The role requires the ability to manage sensitive, confidential, and occasionally urgent information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement.

The post holder will also work flexibly to provide cross-cover and administrative support across a range of services, including the District Nursing and Anticoagulation teams, helping to maintain service continuity during periods of annual leave, sickness, or increased service demand.
