Role summary
An experienced Domestic Supervisor is needed to join the Domestic Services department. The role involves supervising a team of domestic staff to ensure high standards of cleaning are maintained within a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for staff training, managing work schedules, and ensuring compliance with trust policies and safety procedures. This part-time position requires a 'can-do' attitude and flexibility.
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in leadership (or equivalent)
- Previous cleaning experience at a supervisory level
- Previous experience of cleaning
Desirable criteria
- Previous cleaning experience at a supervisory level within a healthcare environment
- Previous experience of cleaning within a healthcare environment
- An understanding of C.O.S.H.H. regulations
- Health and safety basic knowledge
- An understanding of the operating of cleaning machinery
- Excellent Communication skills
- Basic data inputting either manually or using a computer/tablet
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent organisation skills

Knowledge and experience of supervising a cleaning service is essential and any such experience with healthcare would be beneficial.The ability to work as part of a large team is also essential as is the need for flexibility in order to meet the ever change needs of the service.
