Role summary

This role involves providing front-of-house reception services to patients and visitors across multiple health centres. You will welcome individuals, manage reception duties including calls and bookings, and direct patients to appointments. The position requires maintaining accurate records using digital systems and providing flexible cover across different sites. It is crucial for creating a positive first impression and ensuring efficient service delivery.

Essential criteria

  • Level 3 in Business Administration/Customer Service or equivalent level of knowledge and experience

Desirable criteria

  • Word processing to OCR level 2 standard or ICDL
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a range of administration procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of a range of software programmes including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of SystmOne functions and other clinical reporting systems
  • Knowledge of clinic/appointment programmes
  • Knowledge of making every contact count (MECC)
  • Previous experience of working in an office environment and carrying out general office/administration procedures
  • Previous experience of patient appointment booking systems e.g sytstmOne
  • Previous NHS experience or working with the public
