Role summary
This role is for a highly motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant to support diagnostic work in a vibrant, progressive, and ISO15189 accredited laboratory. The successful candidate will need previous experience as an MLA or in a diagnostic lab, with a keen eye for detail and an organised approach. The department provides extensive investigations for a specialist paediatric hospital, offering an excellent opportunity to gain skills in paediatric microbiology. There may be an expectation to participate in night shifts.

Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Laboratory Assistant to helpsupport the diagnostic work of the department.
You are expected to at least have previous experience as a MedicalLaboratory Assistant or to have worked in a diagnostic laboratory. A key eye for details and working in an organised manner is crucial to this role.
Please note there potentially may be expectation for you to participate in night shifts. As we are currently reviewing our night service and looking at a restructure of the current night shift.
This is a vibrant, progressive, well equipped, and a ISO15189 accredited laboratory.
Main duties of the job
The department provides an extensive range of investigations to support the specialist patient population of this tertiary referral paediatric hospital, and also provides a specialist service to other hospitals.
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a very experienced and dedicated team to gain extra skills and knowledge of paediatric microbiology.
