Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced children's nurse with a passion for education to join the Children's Services education team. The role involves supporting newly qualified nurses and delivering clinical education to both registered and non-registered staff. You will assist in planning and delivering induction and ongoing education programs, including simulation training. The successful applicant will need excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills, and be flexible with shift patterns.
Essential criteria
- At least 2 years' experience with a paediatric inpatient setting
Desirable criteria
- Experience within a teaching role
- IV Skills
- IT skills
- ENB 998 or equivalent (SLIP) or practice supervisor/assessor training.
- RSCN, RN Child or RN
- Current in date EPLS
- EPLS instructor
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality

An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our education team within Children's Services to support our newly qualified nurses during the winter period in both the Children and Young People's Unit and the Children's Emergency Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is highly motivated and committed to join our innovative team.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and coaching skills to ensure a supportive learning environment for all. As an integral member of the Education Team, your responsibilities will include;
