Role summary
This role is for a Clinical Facilitator within the Practice Development Team, focusing on urgent emergency inpatient wards. The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with a passion for teaching, responsible for providing clinical expertise, advice, and support to ensure consistent and effective patient care. They will promote and facilitate change, implement research into practice, and encourage innovative practice while supporting staff development and high-quality standards of care. The role requires autonomous working, strong organisational skills, and effective communication within a multi-disciplinary team.
Essential criteria
- 1st Level Registration
- Experience within an acute trust within a medicine setting
- Completed or undertaking a first level degree in Nursing/ Health Studies
- Teaching qualification - accredited mentorship module/SSSA qualification
- Understanding of Quality Governance and its application
- Working knowledge of Trust and National Nursing initiatives
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of previous teaching experience both informal and forma
- Evidence of a high level of nursing practice - uses evidence based practice to support patient care delivery
- Credible clinical role model who is committed to improving standards and patient care
- Evidence of leadership qualities
- Demonstrates record of achievement in changing and developing practice
- Leadership Course
- Band 6 or comparable experience to include completion of the senior band 5 competency pack
- Demonstration of autonomous practice
- Evidence of networking across professional boundaries
- Excellent communication, liaison and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Evidence of being a Reflective Practitioner
- Highly motivated
- Work cross site as and when required
- Communication
- Demonstrate excellent written communication skills
- Effective listening skills
- Demonstrates a non-judgemental, holistic approach
