Role summary

This is a fixed-term, part-time role for a Clinical Psychologist / Family Therapist to cover maternity leave within NELFT's well-established core CYP eating disorders team. The post holder will deliver specialist psychological interventions to children and young people with eating disorders, working closely with a multidisciplinary team. The role involves managing a workload, prioritising tasks, and contributing to service improvement initiatives. It's an opportunity to work with children, young people, and their families in an innovative lifespan eating disorder service.

Essential criteria

  • Appropriate qualification according to profession of BSc in Psychology
  • MSc in Systemic Family Therapy or Doctorate in Clinical Counselling Psychology
  • Accreditation by UKCP, HCPC or other appropriate accrediting body.
  • Clinical Experience working with service users with eating disorders disorder
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of service user groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across
  • the full range of care settings including outpatient, community, primary care, in-patient and residential care settings
  • Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for service users psychological care and treatment within the context of multidisciplinary care plan
  • Experience of assessing and treating service users across the full range of care settings
  • Experience of representing psychological therapy within the context of multi-disciplinary care
  • Experience of the application of psychology in different cultural contexts
  • Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision

We are seeking an experienced clinical psychologist/ family therapist to join NELFT's well established core CEDS team. The role is fixed term for 10mths to provide maternity leave cover. This role supports the delivery of high-quality patient care to children and young people with an eating disorder. The post holder will work closely with MDT colleagues to ensure services run smoothly and efficiently.
