Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Support Worker to join ward 102 at Royal Stoke. The role involves making a difference to patients' lives and contributing to the safe and efficient running of the department. You will work as part of a wider team to maintain services provided to patients.
Essential criteria
- Over 12 months experience in care
Desirable criteria
- Experience of supporting colleagues
- Educated to GCSE D-G or Level 1 equivalent, including Maths and English (ECCTIS is required for overseas qualifications)
- Holds a valid Care Certificate or willing to complete within 12 weeks of commencing in post
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or willing/required to complete if successful (If applicant has 3 years or more care experience this is voluntary).
- Able to undertake routine observations
- Ability to do basic dressings
- Surgical Experience

Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
