Role summary

This role supports the Head of Cyber Security and Information Governance in implementing the Trust's IG Strategy and improvement program. The specialist will ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, particularly the Data Security and Protection toolkit. They will provide expert advice on information governance, data protection, and GDPR, leading on new and innovative approaches to maintain compliance.

  • NHSE Data Security and Protection Toolkit ? Data Breach Logging ? Annual Audit
  • Management of Subject Access Request's to include data redactions
  • Management of Data Protection Impact Assessments ? Provision of guidance to both staff and suppliers ? Review and approval
  • Qualifications / Training
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience in information governance

Job summary

We are recruiting for an Information Governance Specialist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

The post holder will support the Head of cyber security and information governance in reviewing and implementing the Trusts IG Strategy and improvement program ensuring the Trust meets with all the statutory and regulatory requirements for information governance. The role will lead on ensuring the requirements of the Data Security and Protection toolkit are met. Provide leadership and expert advice on information governance across the Trust on information governance. Data protection, GDPR and on developing new and innovation approaches, ensuring compliance with all the relevant legal and regulatory framework

Main duties of the job
