Role summary
This role is for an organised and proactive administrator to support the First Responder Department, focusing on high-profile campaigns and daily administrative tasks. Based primarily at Waterloo Headquarters three days a week, the administrator will collaborate with managers, staff, and volunteers delivering community response services. The position involves supporting departmental campaigns like Volunteer Strategy, London Lifesavers, and Heartstarters, contributing to improved patient outcomes across London. Occasional travel to other London Ambulance Service sites may be required for meetings and events.
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of a range of administrative procedures acquired through relevant training or experience to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and on own initiative
- Significant recent experience of office or administrative work
- Experience of using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and inputting and processing information
- Knowledge and Skills
- Physically Fit, able to move parcels/large boxes of uniform and equipment
- Able to work accurately and effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft correspondence and responses to routine issues
- Personal Abilities
- Minute taking experience
- Ability to organise meetings/events
- Be willing to train in first aid including the use of a defibrillator
