Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join Ward H2 Respiratory at Salford Care Organisation. The role involves working alongside a Registered Nurse to develop and deliver personalised care plans for patients, including assisting with personal care, mobility, and nutritional needs. You will also be responsible for maintaining thorough records and documentation. Ward H2 is a fast-paced unit caring for respiratory and general medical patients.
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or a Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship - or equivalent experience
- Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)
- Care Certificate
- Knowledge, Training & Experience
- Experience of working as a Care Support Worker or equivalent in a Health or Social care setting
- Experience of working within a team
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrates an interest or previous experience in supporting other health care staff and learners
- Commitment to undertaking continuous professional development (CPD)
- Experience of working with respiratory patients
- Skills & Abilities
- Good communication (written and verbal skills)
- Basic IT skills
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to use the electronic patient record system
- Able to provide evidence of clinical skills e.g. venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs
