Role summary
This is a 1-year pilot role for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse within the Inclusion Health and Homelessness Mental Health Team. The practitioner will provide care to people experiencing homelessness in South Norfolk & Broadland, working alongside the District Council. The role is a split post, involving initial assessments with City CMHT for two days and three days of outreach work with the Inclusion Health and Homeless team. It requires a creative, innovative, and flexible approach to support vulnerable individuals.
Essential criteria
- Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Ongoing professional development working towards degree level
- Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor training (NMC registrants) or Practice Educator (AHP & Social Worker Registrants)
- Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
- Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience
- Competent assessment skills

- Able to time manage and reflect on clinical practice

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to be part of a 1-year pilot providing care to people experiencing homelessness in South Norfolk & Broadland.
The role will be part of the Inclusion Health and Homelessness Team (IHHT) working alongside South Norfolk and Broadland District Council.
We are looking for a creative, innovative practitioner with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be supporting people who are often unable to access mainstream services and require a flexible, proactive, and holistic approach in order to overcome these barriers.
