Role summary
This role is for a caring and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join the Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) wards at Gosport War Memorial Hospital. You will provide physical and psychological care to patients, working as a core member of the ward team under the direction of a registered nurse. The role involves providing person-centred care, accurately recording patient information, and reporting to the Registered Nurse. Training and support will be provided, including an induction programme for those new to healthcare.

- Literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to National Functional Skills Level 2 standard (formerly Key Skills)

Job summary
We are looking for caring and compassionate Healthcare Support Workers to join our multi-disciplinary team at Gosport War Memorial Hospital on our Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) wards.
We are recruiting to two OPMH wards - Rose Ward, a 16-bed ward providing care for older people who have acute mental health needs and are unable to look after themselves or be looked after at home, and Poppy Ward, a 14-bed ward caring for patients with memory needs.
