Role summary
Elizabeth House Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Healthcare Assistant with phlebotomy experience to join their friendly team. This role involves providing a range of HCA and phlebotomy services, working alongside GPs, nurses, and other clinical staff. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality patient care and the continued development of the nursing and clinical team. Opportunities for developing additional HCA skills are available.
Essential criteria

- Previous experience working in a healthcare or patient-facing environment.
- Experience of taking blood samples independently and safely.
- Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with patients.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and information governance.
- Ability to work independently within agreed competencies and recognise when clinical advice is required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant/Phlebotomist within general practice or primary care.
- Experience using EMIS or a similar clinical system.
- Experience undertaking HCA procedures such as ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, NHS Health Checks, urinalysis, wound care and suture/staple removal.
- Experience of clinical stock management and maintaining clinical areas.

Job summary
Elizabeth House Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and reliable Healthcare Assistant with phlebotomy expereince to join our friendly and supportive practice team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant who enjoys working directly with patients and being part of a busy general practice team.
The successful candidate will work alongside our GPs, Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacist and wider practice team to provide high-quality care to our patients. We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable, well organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience of working within general practice or another healthcare setting would be desirable. Phlebotomy experience is essential, although training and support can be provided to develop additional HCA skills and competencies.
We are particularly looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with patients and colleagues and is willing to contribute positively to the continued development of our nursing and clinical team.
