Role summary
This fixed-term role for 12 months covers maternity leave within Gloucestershire's CAMHS Learning Disability Service. The post holder will manage a clinical caseload of children and young people with moderate-severe Learning Disabilities, providing assessment and interventions for mental health problems and challenging behaviour. Essential criteria
- Professional Health qualification RNLD/RNMH
- Registration with the NMC
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of formal post registration learning
- Training/placement within a relevant CAMHS LD field or skill
- Working with children with a Learning Disability
- Experience of clinical case management/care coordination (including clinical risk assessment & management) within a mental health or learning disability setting.
- Experience of delivering evidence based/best practice therapeutic interventions relevant to CAMHS LD
- Experience of identifying/escalating safeguarding concerns regarding children and young people

Job summary
This role is offered on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months for maternity cover . The hours are full time, 37.5 hours per week. There is also scope for the role for be a Band 6 depending on experience.
Gloucestershire's CAMHS provides high quality specialist Mental Health and Learning Disability Services to children and young people and has locality bases in Stroud, Cheltenham and Gloucester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in the children's Learning Disability Service . We are seeking a highly motivated and committed individual to join our team. The role involves holding a clinical caseload of children and young people with moderate-severe Learning Disabilities. To offer assessment and interventions for children experiencing, mental health problems, and /or challenging behaviour , including sleep difficulties. We adopt a PBS (positive behaviour support) approach throughout our work.
