Job summary

In conjunction with the Director of Medical Education (DME) and Director of Undergraduate Medical Education (DUME), lead the delivery of the medical education work programme, including the training, delivery and finance of:

  • Undergraduate medical student and physician associate student placements
  • Postgraduate medical training programmes Foundation & Specialty Training
  • Rota compliance of Resident Medical Staff and Exception reporting
  • Qualified physician associates
  • SAS doctors
  • Training of Trainers

Main duties of the job

To be

responsible for the interpretation and implementation of national policies

and current legislation relating to medical training and service level

agreements, ensuring the operational delivery and standards are met within the

Medical Education team.

To

influence and lead on the strategic development of Postgraduate and

Undergraduate medical education, supporting the Director of Medical Education

(DME), Director of Undergraduate medical education (DUME), Foundation Programme

Tutors and College Tutors.

To

influence and lead on the strategic development of Undergraduate medical

education, supporting the DUME, clinical education manager,

clinical educators and year Leads.

To

provide specialist knowledge,
