Role summary
This role is for a Mental Health Practitioner within the Core CAMHS team, supporting young people with moderate, severe, and enduring mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties. Essential criteria

- Skills of assessing, planning and evaluating care, for people with mental health related difficulties,
- extensive post registration/qualifying experience of working within a mental health setting/supporting people with mental health needs

- additional training relevant to role - e.g DBT , EMDR
- Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services and have complex mental health needs
- experience of providing supervision
- experience of supporting and engaging with children, young people and their families within a professional role

- Knowledge and experience of holistic assessment and risk assessment and management

In the role you will join a robust multidisciplinary team, providing assessment and interventions for children and young people with complex, severe, and persistent emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
There will be scope for creativity in this team, to develop evidence-based interventions, to think systemically and work collaboratively with children, young people and families, informed by the local Transformation Plan, Future in Mind and the THRIVE framework.
