Role summary
This role is for an experienced scrub Theatre Practitioner to join a dedicated team at Victoria Hospital Wimborne's Day Surgery Unit. You will deliver exceptional elective care in a modern environment, focusing on smooth, safe, and high-quality theatre operations. The position involves supporting patient care throughout the perioperative journey and assisting with surgical procedures across various specialities. It is a part-time role requiring flexibility to meet service needs.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse to degree/diploma level supplemented by diploma level specialist training and/or short courses, or equivalent level of experience Or Theatre Practitioner with relevant certificate of qualification for practice
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Health Act
- Recent previous experience within a comparable role
- Personal qualities/attributes
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise effectively
- Evidence of good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Business travel
- Subject to the provisions of the Equality Act, able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business

Job summary
An experienced scrub Theatre practitioner for a multiple speciality Day Surgery Unit.Join our dedicated Theatre team at Victoria Hospital Wimborne delivering exemptional elective care.
You will be working in a modern, purpose built environment alongside a close-knit team who share a commitment to excellent patient outcomes, safety and collaborative working.
You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth, safe and high quality theatre operations.
This is a part time post of 25 hours per week. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
Supporting and delivering safe patient care throughout the perioperative journey.

Participating in clinical audits, data collection and driving improvements in theatre practice.
