This role is for an experienced Podiatrist specialising in high-risk foot and diabetes care. You will support the Lead Diabetes Podiatrist in coordinating and developing services, providing expert assessment and treatment for complex diabetic and high-risk foot conditions. The position involves multidisciplinary team working, contributing to quality improvement, and delivering education to healthcare professionals.

- Expertise in assessing and treating the high risk foot
- Significant post-registration experience in high-risk foot and diabetic foot management.
- Specialist knowledge and skills in wound care, diabetic foot management and high-risk foot care.
- Experience of multidisciplinary team working.
- Ability to lead, teach and mentor colleagues effectively.

- Degree / Diploma in Podiatry
- HCPC Registration
- Skills/Abilities
- Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information in a manner that patients, carers and other staff can understand, including imparting often difficult clinical and non-clinical news.
- Demonstrable team leadership skills: ability to supervise and motivate staff
- Understanding of current objectives within the field of Podiatry (including surgical management), focusing on national and local strategy, policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting clients living with complex physical and emotional disabilities and of operating and delivering care in the context of an ethnically diverse population

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Podiatrist specialising in the High-Risk Foot and Diabetes to join our dedicated Podiatry team. This is an exciting opportunity for an advanced practitioner with a passion for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex foot pathology.
The post holder will support the Lead Diabetes Podiatrist in the coordination, development and clinical leadership of services related to the management of patients with high-risk foot complications. They will play a key role in ensuring that service delivery meets national and local standards, quality indicators and performance objectives.
As a specialist clinician, you will demonstrate expert knowledge in the assessment, treatment and management of complex diabetic foot disease and other high-risk foot conditions, contributing to improved patient outcomes and reducing the risk of ulceration, infection and amputation.
Main duties of the job
Support the Lead Diabetes Podiatrist in the clinical leadership and coordination of the High-Risk Foot Service.Provide expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with complex diabetic and high-risk foot conditions.Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in line with national and local clinical guidelines.Participate in multidisciplinary team working, contributing specialist advice to colleagues
