Essential criteria

- First Level NMC Registration.
- Degree or working towards.

- Evidence of management experience/training.
- NMC recognised Teaching/Assessing qualification

- Masters Degree
- Knowledge and Skills
- Evidence of being up to date with current issues relating to professional practice.
- Knowledge of key national policy drivers for Acute care
- Can demonstrate practical application of quality standards within the clinical setting e.g. Care Quality Commission, NICE guidance
- Able to demonstrate effective management of, staff and student, experience and performance
- Credible clinical expert
- Evidence of research based practice.
- Organisational skills.
- Fully aware of clinical governance agenda.
- Experience and knowledge within the specialty or related field.

Job summary
An
exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated, and
compassionate nurse leader to join our Surgical Care Group as Ward Manager for
Ward 2.
Ward 2 is a busy 22 bed acute medical ward specialising in diabetic and endocrine medicine. Patients on our ward have complex needs and you will be liaising with the wider MDT to meet the needs of our patients. As a Sister/ Charge Nurse you will be expected to support the management structure to provide a consistent high standard of nursing practice with particular emphasis on quality and clinical standards.
As Ward Manager, you will provide strong
clinical, professional, and operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of
safe, effective, and compassionate care whilst achieving key quality,
workforce, and performance objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an
experienced Band 6 or existing Band 7 nurse who is committed to developing
high-performing teams and enhancing the experience of both patients and staff.
