Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Charge Nurse to join the rehabilitation team at Faversham Cottage Hospital. The role involves providing specialist rehabilitation interventions for patients with complex and long-term conditions, ensuring high-quality, personalised care. As Charge Nurse, you will offer clinical leadership and operational support to the ward team, coordinating patient care and supporting staff development. You will also contribute to service improvement and promote the highest standards of nursing practice.
Essential criteria
- You will have a Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification, or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience plus a diploma in nursing.
- You'll need to have experience of managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others.
- You will be a registered health care professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Knowledge and Skills
- You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases.
- You will have knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to- date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks. You will fully understand the role and remit of a health care worker.
Desirable criteria
- Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance
- Personal Attributes
- A full, valid UK driving licence or a full driving licence issued by an EU country (not exchanged from a non-EU country) and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role.
