Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Organisational Development Manager to join the expanding People & Organisational Development Team at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. The role involves delivering OD interventions, leading a team, and supporting leadership development, team development, talent management, wellbeing, inclusion, and organisational change. The successful candidate will be proactive, creative, and collaborative, working in an agile environment with home working and visits across Wales. This is a fixed-term/secondment position for maternity cover until November 2027.
Essential criteria
- Masters level qualification in Human Resource Management, Leadership, OD, or Adult Learning or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Evidence of CPD
Desirable criteria
- Further and Adult Education and Teaching Certificate Stage 1 (or Equiv.)
- Recognised Leadership qualification
- Recognised coaching qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of working in a complex organisation and a training background
- Knowledge of leadership theories and experience of delivering these in management and leadership training
- Knowledge and experience of leading various OD interventions
- Experience of working in partnership with a wide range of NHS and/or non-NHS organisations
- Excellent facilitation skills
- Experience of leading projects
- Experience of using coaching to support people development
- Experience of OLM/ESR
- Project Management Qualification
- Skills and Attributes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to assimilate complex ideas/material.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- IT Skills (word processing, spreadsheets & presentation software)

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership in this role as an Organisational Development Manager within the expanding People & Organisational Development Team. The post holder will have significant experience of delivering OD interventions and leading a team.
The role will support the Head of Organisational Development with organisational development interventions in relation to leadership development, team development, talent management, wellbeing, inclusion and organisational change to support the delivery of national and local priorities and will be a champion for organisational development, service change and innovation.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, proactive, creative, hands-on and collaborative individual with strong leadership skills and an interest in building relationships at every level within the organisation and with external partners. You will be required to work within an agile working environment which will include home working and visits to sites across Wales.
This post is Fixed Term/Secondment until 22/11/2027 due to maternity cover.
