Role summary
This permanent Band 6 SEND Clinical Co-ordinator role at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust supports the Clinical Lead for SEND in implementing the Children and Families Act (2014) reforms. The post holder will ensure timely and accurate health information for Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews. They will also provide advice to clinical staff on completing health advice documents and liaise with Local Authority SEN teams.

Job summary

Are you skilled at clinical coordination and navigating service involvement for young people with SEND? Then look no further. We are delighted to advertise a permanent post for a Band 6 SEND Clinical Coordinator. This is an opportunity to join our small and friendly SEND team in the Neighborhood Public & Mental Health System at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. The post is based at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
The post holder will provide support to the Clinical Lead for SEND in the day-to-day implementation of the Children and Families Act (2014) Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) reforms in order to improve the outcomes for children and young people aged 0-25 years.
The post holder will support the Clinical Lead for SEND in ensuring [contact details removed] clinical staff are aware of their statutory responsibilities to this group of children, young people and their families and are confident and competent in preparing health advice for Education Health Care Plans. They will support the quality assurance process for health advice that is contributing to the EHCP assessment and annual review processes.
