Role summary
This role is for a proactive and detail-driven MSK Health Administrator to support the Musculoskeletal Rehab (MSK) team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support, including data input, reception duties, processing documentation, and managing referrals. It requires strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to service excellence. The position is based at Worthing Hospital with occasional travel to other sites.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure accurate data input using patient administration systems such as SystmOne.
- Provide high-quality reception duties, greeting and booking in patients attending MSK and Pelvic Health clinics.
- Work closely with the MSK team to ensure all documentation and correspondence are processed accurately and promptly.
- Monitor and action incoming referrals and triage outcomes, escalating issues when necessary.
- Support service audits, data collection, and performance reporting as required.
- Book, amend and cancel patient appointments using the computer-based booking system (SystmOne).
Essential criteria
- oNVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in business administration.
- oApplicants with a lower-level qualification who have equivalent experience will be considered
- oSchool leaving qualification (GCSE or equivalent) in maths and English language or able to demonstrate equivalent competence.
- oWorking in an office environment where a large and diverse range of callers and visitors are received.
- oDealing directly with customers, patients and members of the public.
- oArranging meetings involving people from different organisations - including co-ordinating diaries, booking meeting rooms and sending out agendas and papers.
- oStock control and ordering supplies
- oContributing to the development of administrative or office procedures.
- oCommunicating effectively with a diverse range of people.
- oHandling personally or commercially sensitive information.
- Able to carry out basic calculations using Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to travel to other Trust sites to attend meetings and cover admin duties.
