Role summary
An exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic ward assistant to join Beech A ward. The role involves ensuring and supporting the delivery of cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance, along with other specified tasks to meet patient needs. The post holder will work cooperatively with colleagues as part of the team, performing duties directed by the ward clinical team to enable nursing staff to focus on direct patient care. This role requires someone who understands confidentiality, has good communication skills, and can manage their time efficiently.

- Previous experience in hospitality/customer facing or care environment
- Experience of working in a team

- Supervisory experience in the
- NHS or similar environment
- Experience of undertaking a housekeeper role
- Good telephone and reception manner
- Self-motivated
- Ability to communicate with staff, patients and visitors
- Ability to motivate others
- Good self-organisational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines

- Basic Health & Safety

- Manual Handling

- NVQ or equivalent in relevant subject
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for
committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated ward house assistant to join Beech
A ward at Worcester. The main element of the role is ensuring and supporting the delivery of
cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks
to meet individual patients needs, as determined by the ward sister/charge
nurse.****
The post holder will work co-operatively with colleagues, as
part of the team and perform additional duties as and when directed by the ward clinical team, to enable nursing
staff to undertake direct patient care.
We are looking to recruit someone who understands the
importance of working confidentially, has good communication skills, able to manage
their time efficiently as an independent worker but would also value being part
of a well-established team.
