Role summary
This role involves providing organisational support and administrative duties to the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) specialist team. The post holder will coordinate arrangements, records, and reports for IBD benign disease multi-disciplinary team meetings. It is a part-time, fixed-term position within the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Essential criteria
- GCSE English language, minimum C grade, or equivalent.
- Typewriting / word processing RSA 2 or equivalent.
- Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience of working within clinical teams or settings
- Knowldege and experience of IT systems including databases, and Microsoft applications.
- Basic understanding of anatomy in relation to the gastrointestinal tract
- Requirements of the Data Protection, Freedom of Information Act, Access to Health Records and Defensible Documentation, Health and Safety Acts and their application in the workplace.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of NCIC Hospital systems including Silverlink PAS, ICE
- Skills and Aptitudes
- Excellent organisation skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work unsupervised, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to use initiative
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
- Compassionate and tactful
- Willing to expand skills and experience within the speciality team
- Act in ways that support equality and value diversity (Level 1)
