  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary CAMHS teams and multi-agency setting
  • Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment
  • Current professional registration - i.e NMC, HCPC, BPS
  • Can communicate and establish effective working relationships with children and young people and their families

  • Qualification in a relevant intervention
  • Up to date with legislation policy relating to CAMHS
  • Evidence of plans of professional updating

Job summary

We are looking for a committed practitioners who would like to further their studies to train with South West CYP IAPT in systemic Therapy. This is the childrens Eating Disorders Strand. We are offering one place to study on the Systemic Practitioner CYP-IAPT course.

The post will work within CAMHS Eating Disorders delivering evidence based systemic interventions for children & adolescents experiencing difficulties with eating disorders using evidence based family intervention. .

The post is likely to be based in Newquay for the majority of the training but may involve travel between clinics.

The course runs for 1 year, between January & December. This training course is funded by Health Education England, you would be studying at the University of Exeter 2 days a week and working in a children's mental health service 2-3 days per week. A secondment may be available within CAMHS-ED team.
