Role summary

Key responsibilities
- Facilitate MDT meetings, potentially requiring flexible hours.
- Liaise with clinical and administrative staff across departments and NHS Trusts to develop MDT meeting lists.
- Provide administrative support for MDT meetings, including preparing patient proformas and organising relevant clinical data.
- Organise and operate visual aids for meetings, such as video conferencing.
- Log meeting actions, ensure their completion, and file MDT outcomes in patient notes.
- Provide cross-cover for team members and manage clinical, administrative, and general correspondence.
Essential criteria
- GCSE English and Math (Or Equivalent) at Grade C or above
- Administration Experience
- Experience of working in an office environment
- High standard of written and spoken English
- Organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
Desirable criteria
- Educated to degree level/NVQ level 3 or above
- Knowledge of RTT 18 week pathways
- Band 4 NHS Experience
- MDT Co-Ordinator Experience
- Evidence of positive approach to working in complex environments
- Keen to further own training and development
- Confident with talking on the phone to patients and external skate holders

Job summary
As a key member of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Team, the post holder will monitor patient pathway progress and support the achievement National targets.
The post holder will act as the focal point for the multidisciplinary team and will be an essential and integral part in the smooth running, administration and organisation of the MDT's within the Gastroenterology and Hepatology service. This is a unique administration role that requires flexibility, attention to detail, initiative and excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
1.Facilitate data collection for patients referred to the: Autoimmune MDT, IgG4 MDT, IBD MDT, Histology Meeting, Nutrition MDT, X-Ray meeting and enter the information onto appropriate database(s)
2.Provide information to support achievement of the national waiting times targets.
3.Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Junior doctors within the Gastro and Hepatology Team.
