Role summary
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Medicines Optimisation Technicians to join their expanding Locality Medicines Optimisation (LMO) Team across Kent and Medway. This role involves improving patient outcomes through effective medicines optimisation and collaborative working within primary care settings. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Medicines Optimisation Strategy, helping to meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the local population. Working closely with GP practices, prescribers and multidisciplinary teams, you will support the safe, effective and cost-efficient use of medicines while delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
Essential criteria
- BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical science or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Desirable criteria
- Working within a primary care setting desirable
- Attributes
- Skills for communication on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills
- A full, valid UK driving licence or a full driving licence issued by an EU country (not exchanged from a non-EU country) and the ability to travel independently are essential for this role.
