Role summary

This role is for a qualified Nursing Associate to join a new 16-bed service in Doncaster, focusing on rehabilitation for patients with complex mental health needs. The unit will provide recovery-focused care through a multi-professional approach. The successful candidate will be committed to enabling the recovery of people with acute mental ill health and will contribute to the development of the Nursing Team.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
  • Educated to a minimum level 5 foundation degree specific to nursing associate practice
  • Care Certificate
  • GCSE level 4 -9 in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working within a health / care setting
  • Understanding of the importance of the promotion of health and wellbeing (Making Every Contact Count)
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision, and as part of a multi disciplinary team
  • Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate
  • Evidence of time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • IT skills appropriate to the role
  • Ability to communicate with members of the public and health and care providers
  • Courteous, respectful and helpful at all times Ability to deal with non-routine and unpredictable nature of the workload and individual patient contact

Job summary

We are delighted to announce a new 16 bed service based in Doncaster that will welcome patients from Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire.

The unit with support patients with complex mental health with a focus on rehabilitation, patients may be in the service for up to 12 months and through a multi-professional approach will receive recovery focussed care.
