Role summary
This role involves leading the development and delivery of innovative engagement, involvement, and inclusion initiatives within the Research & Innovation Directorate. The manager will work with researchers, patients, communities, and stakeholders to improve access to research, enhance public participation, and support grant development. They will also be responsible for delivering impactful communication and engagement strategies across St George's, Epsom and St Heliers Hospitals. The position requires travel across various sites and may include out-of-hours engagement work.

- Postgraduate qualification in Communications, Public Engagement, Health sciences or related subject
- Knowledge & Experience
- Track record of Significant experience of working in health research in patient experience, PPIE
- Experience of working with stakeholders and managing relationships across a range of various research and healthcare organization and institutions as well as public and professional groups
- Experience of developing and delivering patient and public engagement activities and event management in NHS setting
- Ability to prepare reports, analyse highly complex data for Boards, Committees and Management groups.
- Experience of developing and delivering training in PPIE or relevant areas.
- Experience in working with and managing Communications and social media in NHS or other public sector areas
- Evidence of working effectively with clinicians and the MDT
- Editing / updating websites
- Knowledge of the different methods and impacts of PPIE in health research.
- Knowledge of UK clinical research legislation & regulatory requirements and NHS research methods
