Role summary
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract for an experienced Band 6 Registered Podiatrist to join the North Podiatry Service in West Sussex. The role involves delivering expert podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with complex needs, including those with active ulceration. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic patient care, help patients maintain independence, and contribute to service improvement initiatives. The position is for 21 hours and 45 minutes per week.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver expert podiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients at moderate and high risk of foot complications.
- Manage patients with active ulceration and complex clinical needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic patient care.
- Help patients remain independent, mobile and active within their communities.
- Contribute to preventing avoidable hospital admissions and supporting timely discharge from acute settings.
- Participate in service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
