Role summary
Greenbank Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join their team. The role involves providing primary care nursing services, including child and travel immunisations, cervical smears, contraception, and long-term condition reviews. The nurse will also be responsible for maintaining stock levels, ensuring accurate patient consultation records, and participating in various clinical meetings. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, organised, and able to work effectively in a pressured environment.
Essential criteria
- Registered nurse.
- Minimum 2 years post registration.
- Willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
- Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the NHS.
- Evidence of appropriate knowledge base.
- Interest and basic knowledge in long-term conditions.
- Demonstrate an understanding of audit.
Desirable criteria
- Computer skills.
- Post-registration study in topics allied to general practice.
- Basic/advanced certificate of life support.
- Undertaken mentorship training.
- Awareness of the national service framework guidelines.
- Understanding of health and safety issues.
- Practice experience
- At least 5 years experience working in General Practice
- COPD/Asthma Management
- Diabetes Management
- Experience dealing with blood results and QRisk
- Knowledge of QOF
- Knowledge and skills
- Good interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Evidence of problem-solving and decision making skills.
- Good team player.

Job summary
We are looking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our team. You will be supported by a team of clinicians and administrative staff including GP's, Advanced Nurse practitioners, GP Trainees, Healthcare assistants, and an established reception and administration team.
You will be required to:
· Provide primary care nursing services including child immunisations, travel immunisations, cervical smears, contraception, LTC reviews, home visits etc.
· provide timely clinical and culturally appropriate health services (educating patients re lifestyle, using recall and reminder systems etc)
· attending daily de-briefs, weekly clinical meetings, Monthly MDT meetings
· Maintain adequate levels of stock for materials, medication and equipment in all treatment and consulting rooms, ensuring no item is past its expiry date and that stock is rotated to minimise wastage.
· Ensure all patient consultations are recorded accurately in the clinical notes. This includes records of both face to face and remote conversations.
The ideal candidate will also have a positive and calm manner, be compassionate, patient and understanding, be well organised and able to work systematically and be able to follow procedures and protocols closely. You will need to be able to work in a pressured environme
